About WTL

A safe, structured, and supportive place for men in recovery to rebuild their lives, one honest day at a time.

Welcome to Life Residences is a men's recovery residence organization serving the San Gabriel Valley, with three homes located in Covina and Pomona. We exist for one reason: to give men in recovery a safe, structured, and supportive place to rebuild their lives, one honest day at a time.

We are not a detox or treatment center. We are what comes next. We are the bridge between treatment and full independence, where the lessons of recovery get put into practice in real, everyday life.

Who we serve

Our residents are men who are committed to their sobriety and ready to live in a structured, respectful environment. Realistically our residents range in age from 30 to 60, and our current community skews a bit older.

Many are rebuilding careers, reconnecting with family, and re-establishing the stability that addiction put at risk. We have built our homes and our program around the realities that men in recovery face.

Our mission

To provide men in recovery with a safe, structured, and dignified home where they can maintain their sobriety, rebuild their independence, and become part of a community that supports lasting change.

A supportive community of men in recovery

The program

Life in our homes is built on structure, accountability, and mutual support. Our program is 12-step based, and residents can expect:

Our on-site medical access and social-services coordination are a real point of difference. Recovery is easier to sustain when the practical pieces of life, including your health, are within reach.

Our story

Welcome to Life Residences is a cornerstone of the San Gabriel Valley recovery community. WTL was originally founded and operated by Jim Turner for 20 years. In 2025, Dr. Anand Muthiah acquired WTL and continues to offer the same structured programming and supportive environment that has helped so many men find lasting success.
